Nemu64 was made by Lemmy and LaC and started on December 11, 1998 and discontinued in March 23, 2003.  Nemu64 v0.7a, the second to last release, was released on March 23, 2000, but Lemmy and LaC did their best to squeeze in all their remaining willingness to work on the project and published a final version three years later.  For more information, view Nemu64's website.

This emulator is more complicated than the others.  It features NetPlay, debugging, exporting VRML geometry files from Nintendo 64 ROMs via its plugin, and many more tools.  It is perhaps the most unique Nintendo 64 emulator.  It doesn't support some needs of some Nintendo 64 games, however.  The audio plugin made by LaC that Nemu64 uses is pretty much better than both Jabo's DirectSound and Azimer's HLE combined, as it is a combination of Azimer's HLE, Jabo's DirectSound, and zilmar's No Sound plugin.  Nemu64's graphics plugin by Lemmy, however, wasn't so great, but it is very unique.  It has options that no other graphics plugin has, thought it causes many graphics errors in most Nintendo 64 ROMs.

It is possible to use Nemu64's graphics plugin with other emulators.  Just copy LemD3D8.dll from Nemu64's Plugin folder to the Plugin folder of another emulator and copy GS_DLL.dll, which should be in the same folder as Nemu64.exe, to the folder containing the executable of that other emulator.  You cannot, however, do this with Nemu64's audio or input plugin.  Nemu64 does not have a very good input plugin, either, but the audio plugin would be gold if it could be loaded by other emulators.  Even more worse, Nemu64 does not use a Reality Signal Plugin (RSP), which is required to hear sound from certain games.  The final major disadvantage with this emulator is that you cannot change your audio or input plugin to something else, though this is usually unnecessary and does not really put any downfall into its emulation ability.  The audio plugin it already comes with is spectacular, and the input plugin has never, in my experience, affected emulation.  You can, however, change your graphics plugin in Nemu64 by pressing F8, and without the ability to change your graphics plugin, this emulator would be at a much worse disadvantage.
